- Showee uses a 5-micron polypropylene filter (PP filter) to remove sand, dirt, sediments, soil, rust, and other larger particles from the water, ensuring that you don't have to shower in it.

In addition to the PP filter, our shower filter utilizes our proprietary Chlorine-Removing Vitamin C-based Tablets to neutralize chlorine in the water. Please note that the standard shower filter is designed to remove chlorine from warm water, given that, on average, 99% of people shower in warm water. If you predominantly shower in cold water, kindly check the 'Cold Water Configuration' tab where we explain how to select the best configuration for your needs.

We use vegan and some organic ingredients in our Vitamin C-based formula, and we list them because we believe in transparency.

Our research shows us that Showee is the only shower filter on the market that uses this type of Tablets to remove chlorine and we cannot recommend using anything else since this is the only one trust as we make ourself.

Not only is it vegan and uses some Organic Ingredients, but it is also made in Australia with the best natural ingredients.

We take your skin health seriously, which is why we have put in a lot of hard work to develop this new solution.

In case you shower prevalently in Cold water, please shoot us a message by email with your order, so that we can custom make a different "Round Box" for you - This will have 3 holes instead of 1 and will allow better water flow so that the tablets will better dissolve even if the water temperature is low.

If you only shower in cold water sporadically we don't recommend you this configuration because will shorten the life of your tablets by 3 times in some cases, since the warm water will dissolve the tablets much quicker.

This is a good configuration for someone who mainly showers in cold water.

Polypropylene Filters:

It is very hard to guess how long this filter last before it needs replacement.

It really depends from the quality of the water at your location.

To give you a rough idea, since we test our cartridges in Perth WA, we can say that these cartridges last from 3 to 6 weeks on average.

(They last 3 to 6 weeks in Australia and 10 to 20 weeks in Italy on average.)

Chlorine- Removing Tablets:

Each tablet lasts between 5 and 7 Average 7min showers, but we are unable to be more precise about their lifespan because of how many factors affect their lifespan.

The main factors that affect the lifespan of our filters are:

1) How many daily showers does Showee go through in your house.

2) Average Water temperature for the showers

3) Water quality at your location.

4) Average water pressure used.

From our experience in the field and research, we can list the most common side effects usually associated with chlorine exposure:

- Itchy skin

- Dry skin

- Itchy scalp

- Itchy and burning Eyes

- Dry scalp

- Dandruff

- Dry hair

- Discoloured hair

- Dry and frizzy hair

- Weakened hair strands, making them more prone to breakage

It is important to understand that the harm caused by chlorine goes beyond the side effects that many people develop. Chlorine byproducts, such as trihalomethanes (THMs), can be even more harmful than chlorine itself. Chloroform is just one example of a THM. These byproducts can potentially increase the risk of cancer and other diseases.

Chlorine can also produce dioxins and other harmful byproducts that can cause cancer, endometriosis, immune system impairment, and reproductive dysfunction.

Therefore, it is important to remove chlorine from our shower water to reduce the risk of exposure to these harmful substances.

It's recommended to do your own research for peace of mind, but the fact that chlorination byproducts can be harmful to humans is widely recognised in the scientific community.

Side note: Chlorine's purpose is the one to kill harmful microorganisms in the water supply, but it does not discriminate between harmful and beneficial microorganisms and can have negative effects on human health even at low levels.

Since the whole point of showering is to clean our bodies, thanks to our PP FIlter you will finally stop showering in water that contains sediments send, dirt, rust and the all biggest particles that are usually found in tap water. (Bigger than 5 microns).

Showering in chlorine free Water improves skin and hair health

Chlorine can be drying and irritating to the skin and hair, and may cause flakiness, itching, dandruff and redness. Removing chlorine from shower water may help to improve the overall health and appearance of skin and hair.

Reduced chlorine exposure

Chlorine is used to disinfect water, but it can also be harmful if ingested or inhaled. By removing chlorine from shower water, you may be able to reduce your overall exposure to the chemical. If you want to experience the calming and relaxing properties of Lavender, our Lavender-scented tablets would be perfect for you. These tablets have a slightly stronger scent compared to the 'Wild Orange' scented tablets.

When it comes to our Chlorine Removing Tablets, we do not use any toxic fragrances in order to achieve a strong scents, but instead, we only use the healthiest Essential Oils from doTERRA.

Our Tablets either come unscented or with the following scents:

Showee is designed to actually work for the entire duration of its cartridges lifespan, not only at the very beginning, like the rest of its competitors.

Majority of people who want to be on top of their health, like to read labels and make sure they eat or consume great quality products. Since we know that whatever we put on our skin gets absorbed by our organism just like the food we eat, we are very transparent about the ingredients that we use in our tablets.

After almost 3 years of research and testing, we came up with a "Vitamin C based" Chlorine Removing Tablet using Vegan and some Organic ingredients since this choice is in line with our company values. We also kept it fragrance free because of the known toxicity that majority of fragrances come with. Filtering your water in the shower will promote better skin and overall health.

That said, we won't make bold claims saying that our filters will fix all of your skin problems, conditions or pathologies.

In many occasions, our clients notice a drastic improvement in their skin and hair health. We believe this will happen only for those whose side effects were strictly due to chlorine or poor water quality exposure.

The human body is a very complex machine and so many factors come into play when it comes to your health. We always recommend you take an holistic approach whenever you want to go at the bottom of any condition or whenever you want to achieve a level of Health-Ease if for instance you find yourself in the undesirable state of Dis-Ease.

This is why we advise you to be wary of filtration companies who very easily make such promises to you, without really knowing you (Also be way of their "Chemical removing claims" since, in majority of occasions, are not precise or inexplicable).

Showee is covered by a 1 year warranty (Body/Gasket/Metallic Rose* Only)

*We won't replace your Metallic Rose in case it is just dirty or calcified. We will though if it presents any structural damage. (It might require some cleaning yearly indeed, especially if you have very hard water - Click on the "Metallic Rose Cleaning Instructions" tab to learn what the most efficient way to clean it is.)

Refill Instructions:

To change the Polypropylene Cartridge (PP Filter):

1) Unscrew the handle from the shower head.

2) Remove the old and potentially dirty PP Filter and install the new one, making sure that the little acqua-green lid is placed at the bottom of the new cartridge. This will force the water to flow through the filter so it can do its job.

3) Now screw the Showee handle back on and dispose of the old PP filter.

To add a new Chlorine Removing Tablet:

1) Rotate Showee's lid counterclock-wise to access its Tablet Box.

2) Pull the two parts apart and have the bottom part sit on a flat surface like in picture or facing up anyway to avoid spilling water.

3) Simply place a new Chlorine Removing Tablet inside the Tablet Box.

How to use Showee:
Showee functions like an average shower head, but will actually filter dirt, sediments and chlorine out of the water using a 5 microns polypropylene filter combined with our original Chlorine removing Tablet. In Addition, our tablet will infuse the water with Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Ferulic acid that will promote healthy skin.

Is it easy to install?
Yes, if you already have a handheld shower head and hose setup, it's simply a matter of unscrewing the old shower head and screwing in Showee. In most cases no tools are needed for this.

1) Simply remove the Metallic Rose and place it inside a glass filled with white vinegar

2) Let it soak for 12-24hrs

3) Wash the vinegar off the Rose and use an abrasive sponge to remove the leftover calcium from it if needed.

It should now be clean and ready be installed back.
