Our countertop water filter, Hydro, utilizes a 4-stage filtration process that includes 3 dispodable cartridges and a UV-C light (in the purified water tank) to ensure that your tap water is the purest and bacteria-free water you can drink.

- What are the 3 different cartridges used by Hydro?

1) The first one is our PAC Filter, which uses the combination of a "Folded Polypropylene Cotton" (5micron) on the outside and a "Powdered Activated Carbon rod" on the inside made from high quality Coconut shells.

The Polypropylene part reduces larger particles of impurities suspended in the water such as:

• Dirt

• Soil

• Sand

• Sediments

• Rust

The Carbon rod absorbs:

• Chlorine

• Disinfection byproducts (e.g., trihalomethanes)

• Organic matter

• Pesticides

• Pharmaceuticals

• Taste-odor compounds,

We don't recommend solely relying on PAC filters to remove heavy metals, since their heavy metal filtering power is weak. Therefore, we always recommend relying on Reverse Osmosis instead for that particular purpose.

2) The second filter in the series is the RO filter, which employs a 200G high-flux semi-permeable Reverse Osmosis membrane to separate water molecules from other compounds present in tap water.

The Reverse Osmosis technology used to strip away potentially harmful contaminants from water, cannot avoid to also strip away the "good minerals" from it, good minerals that the human body needs.

That's why we decided to add 18 natural mineralized materials in the CF cartridge, to remineralize the water.

- The 4th stage of filtraton is carried by a UV-C light that is present inside the "purified water" tank, to ensure that your water stay bacteria-free after it has been filtered. (Once the water is Chlorine Free, it will start growing bacteria, that is why for this countertop we decided to use UV-C Disinfection at the end)

How does it work?

Thanks to its advanced 3 seconds heating & cooling technology, Hydro delivers water at 6 different temperatures:

Normal = Room temperature

Milk = 48°C

Coffe = 85°C

Tea = 90°C

Hot = 100°C

Cold = ≤15°C (To activate the cooling function, press and hold the designated "Cold" key for 5 seconds. Once the cooling function is activated, it will remain on until you turn it off by repeating the same process of pressing and holding the key for 5 seconds.

While the warm temperature options work at full capacity, the cold water option only provides up to 500ml of cold water at a time because that's the size of the "refrigerated water" tank.

Each time cold water is used, the tank will refill and the refrigeration process for the new water will start.

If you want to have constant access to cold water, we recommend filling up some glass bottles and storing them in your fridge.)

To select your desired water temperature, simply tap on the corresponding key, on the touch-screen temperature panel.

The last three options for warmer temperatures are protected by a "Child Lock" to prevent scalding.

To access these options, you will need to first tap the "Lock Key."

Attention: We highly recommend explaining the risks of using this machine to your children, in order to prevent any accidents with boiling water.

Although experiencing burns can be a powerful and long lasting lesson for them, it's always best to avoid them whenever possible.

Quantity Options

In order to select your preferred quantity of water, before selecting your desired water temperature:

1) Press the "Small Cup" key to choose the 150ml water option

2) Press the "Big Cup" key to to choose the 300ml water option

3) Do not press any key, to choose Hydro's default quantity of water, which is 1 litre.

Water will stop automatically after it has reached the desired quantity, but if you want to stop it manually, simply touch any key on the touch panel to stop water distribution.

We recommend flushing the filtered water 2-3 times beofre drinking it, whenever you use Hydro with new filters, whether it's the first time you're using the machine or you're changing its filters and installing new cartridges every 6 months.

To do this, fill the "raw water tank" until the machine stops filtering water due to the "filtered water tank" being full.

Then, press and hold the "Wash" key for a few seconds until the flushing function is activated.

The function will take up to 15 seconds to start flushing all the water from the filtered water tank, so be prepared to catch it or risk flooding your house.
